I think I am a type of person who gets keloid easily. i already have a small one in my chest and think i am growing another one on side of my neck ( probably due to healing skin of acne) . this is really frustrating and im really scared that i will get one somewhere no my face that is really visible due to acne that i have. so is there anything i could do to prevent these? i have heard being hygine ( which i already am) but i dont know anything else. help please. thnaks.
Question about keloid?
Keloid is basically a type of scar, it's from tissue overgrowing at the site of a healed injury. The best way to prevent getting it on your face is to not get injured.
Reply:my daughter has keloids from the scarring from chicken pox when she was little. they actually became very large. one was under the exact spot her bra hit. i took her to a dermatologist who shaved it off and then she went back for injections about 4 times. it has not returned. these are scars. the only way to prevent them is to not get injuries. if you are prone to them, do not pick at pimples or acne on your face. if you do end up with one, see a dermatoligist.
