Keloid question.?

So i have 9 piercings and only 1 of them has what looks to be a keloid thingy. i didn't react like that with any of my other ones at all, or with my tattoos. is it a keloid or is it just infected? how do i make it go away?

Keloid question.?
A keloid is a bump, a bulbous blob of scar tissue, at the site of a wound. Get a doctor's word that it's not an abscess (infection under the skin). If it is a keloid, pierce a Vitamin E capsule and apply the goo twice a day for two weeks, you should see results. Be sure to use the capsules, they work better than gel or liquid in bottles.
Reply:consult a dermatologist to make sure. if you didn't keloid in the past that sounds kind of funny for you to do so now.
Reply:keloids are common with piercings so that could be what you have. the only way to remove a keloid is surgical excision by a physician. sometimes the doc will advise radiation therapy so the keloid will not return.
Reply:Some steroid creams like Kenalog-s may help. If it is much raised , you may try intra-keloidal injections or excision. With excision there is risk of recurrence. Good luck!
