Nose piercing/keloid question?

i got my nose pierced 3 months ago. about a month into it a keloid began to form but i was just told it would go away. i repeatedly went to a couple piercers and they have all said the same thing, dont touch it and give it time. It is really big (bigger then the actual stud) and has recently started turning black and bluish i dont know what to do, want to keep my piercing but i CANT have this bump on my nose any more! help!!

Nose piercing/keloid question?
^^^ Along with that, all I can suggest is tea tree oil. I tried the salt soaks, but they irritated the bumps I had on my helix piercings. I sound like a commercial, but after using the tea tree oil the bumps are gone and my ears are finally healed and normal looking, lol!

Good luck..
Reply:try leaning over in the sink running watter as hot as you can stand on the piercing, use a sea salt rinse, clean it everyday, don't touch it unless you've clean your hands with anti-bacterial soap. Don't take out the piercing, that will lock in any infection only making things worse. if you don't see improvements you should see a doctor and get antibiotics to help
Reply:I am having the same problem! I went to my piercer yesterday and he gave me instructions on how to get rid of it. I followed it all day yesterday and the bump went down significantly!! Here is what he said:

Do extremely hot compresses with purified water for 1 minute at a time at a total of 10-15 minutes, then dry thoroughly with a clean paper towel. (I put some bottled water in a coffee cup and microwave it for 45 secs. then use a cotton ball or pad to put on my piercing, once it reaches room temperature use a new cotton ball and continue for the remainder of time) Only use the regular Neosporin and create a thin layer of the ointment on your fingers and just dab or touch (do not rub) it onto the area. Apply it and then go to bed and when you wake up in the morning clean it off in the shower with a liquid anti-microbial soap (Satin, Provon or medical soap provided at a piercer) and continue this for about 1-2 weeks even if it seems to have gone away or is not getting better. After 2wks contact your piercer for further instruction.
