Keloid after piercing?

i used to have a cartilage piercing, but than i took it out b/c it was leaning against a small part of skin (above the piercing) at night everytime i slept. the earring was on the left ear, at night i'd start off sleeping on my right side, and than when i woke up, i'd end up on my left side. so, now theres like this small thing above where the piercing was. i think its called a keloid, it's very small. anyways, how do you get rid of it? i know something about an aspirin/distilled water mask, so i am doing that, i only did it once so far. i think you have to do it 2-3 x per week until it goes away.

1 second ago - 3 days left to answer.

Keloid after piercing?
It will go away in due time, i had a keloid in my nose and its completely gone now, I used everything imaginable but you know what worked? Leaving it alone for a while and not thinking about it, it's GONE. My sister also had one in her cartilage and she put some neosporin and its gone too. It will go away dont worry about it.
Reply:I have the same thing on my nose piercing and I read on here to use warm water and sea salt compresses and it is working. But I forgot to do it for a couple of days. I would say so it for a week. It really does work and the couple of days I missed didn't seem to make it any worse.
Reply:If that doesn't work, you may need steroid injections or homeopathy or surgery. Keloid is formed due to excessive scar tissue formation.
Reply:Keloids are scar tissue. If you keep aggravating the skin, you will get more of it if you are prone to it!!! You need to see a dermatologist to know for sure, they will also look at any other scars you will show them to see how susceptible you are, but if it is lighter and skinnier than your other skin, it is a keloid. Keloid pads can help flatten it and even out the color or it will take about 10 years for it to diminish. You could have plastic surgery if it is a keloid but you are not susceptible - the dermatologist can help figure this out .

You could just have a small pimple at the piercing.
