Will the keloid from the navel piercing go away? HELP!?

I know there are a million questions about navel rings, but none of them really address keloids around the navel...I got mine done about three months ago and have been taking excellent care of it (H2Ocean multiple times a day, anti-bac in the shower, hot salt water every other day...) and the thing is still pussing and there is a small keloid at the bottom! I'm terrified that it's going to stay there! I know I shouldn't take the banana barbell out in fear of trapping infection, might it be smart to put a CBR or a twisted ring in instead to allow more movement? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Will the keloid from the navel piercing go away? HELP!?
crush up a few NONCOATED aspirin...mix it with a tiny amount of water and make it into a paste...use a Qtip and apply it to the keloid.

it should make it disappear eventually...

at least that's what the piercing guy told me when i got my friend got her nose done. she got a keloid and i didnt
Reply:Keloids don't go away.
Reply:In general, keloids don't go away, and touching them or picking may make them bigger.

Please read the following link about the belly piercing.

There are many determining factors that need to be addressed (such as metal used in the banana barbell, etc.)

There are some home remedies (see wikipedia website listed below) such as a warm rag for 5 minutes, and a tea bag can be substituted. And some medication is listed as well.

You could also see a doctor and ask about it.
Reply:My sister got her ear pierced (the cartilage) and she got a keloid. Had it for two years, grew big. She had to go to the doctor and they had to cut it off. Yech. Then every month for about 6 months she had to get a steroid shot in her ear so it wouldn't come back.

So, I think you have to get it removed, because they do not go away on their own. Sorry.
