Ok so i got the industrial piercing in july so for 2 months now and i noticed a little bump on the back of my bottom hole. it looks like a pimple but if im correct thats how a "keloid" first develops. im getting worried bc i've seen pictures of keloids and i hope it doesnt turn out to be like that. i was wondering if i should take out the piercing and leave it out..i clean it once a day now so should i clean it more often? is there anything i can do to get rid of the bump? any professional piercers out there who can answer this??

hey =] i got the industrial piercing too but in october 06 lol, it has been the hardest piercing i have had to look after, i keep gettin little bumps too, and it sometimes happens to both holes. but i just keep cleaning it with salt water. don't take the piercing out, just clean it twice a day and it should get better.
cartilidge takes ages to heal properly so just be patient and keep cleaning it thoroughly, if you are worried though, go to your piercest. i did once and he took the bar out for me and cleaned my ear up and put a slightly longer bar in, to make it easier to clean and also so it wasnt so tight on my ear. and he recommended to just soak your ear for 5 mins or something and to you tee tree(how ever u spell that) to help take the bumps down too

Reply:i grew one on my tragus and i called my piercer and he told me thats its a hypotrpphic scar...do sea salt soaks once a day and apply tea tree oil on it at night wash off in the morning
