Show your piercing to a piercer. You may have hypertrophic scarring which can diminish on its own over time with proper care. Having your piercing checked out will allow you to get jewlery in place that will fit correctly and your piercer will be able to give you care instructions to try to help the area heal itself up. Proper care can help reduce some forms of scarring on existing piercings and will prevent bumps from returning.

Piercers aren't legally able to remove anything like a scar the way a doctor can, meaning if they pierced you and it happend to be removed in the piercing its legal, but they can't just nip it off, nor are they trained to.

A dermatologist should be able to remove any scarring, BUT if you do not have jewlery that fits properly and you do not heal the area before removing the scar, its probably just going to come right back. If you've already removed the piercing, your dermatologist will be able to asses your risk for the scar returning.

I have no idea how much a procedure like this would cost, but you can contact various doctors offices and ask. They should be able to give you basic information on cost or if they do not perform the procedure, ask them where you should call instead. Without insurance I would expect it to cost an inordinate amount of money. If the scar isn't disfiguringly large, I would just live with it for now.
Reply:When you cut your body, it scars. That is natures way of closing the wound to keep you from bleeding to death. Certain people form keloids, or basically, they keep producing scar tissue. Guess what! You cut it off, and it's just going to keep making MORE scar tissue. No cure.
Reply:I dont htink that a parlor can do this. You would most likeley have to get it stitched up. there is a thing called a derma punch it can make your hole big so you can wear those plug things.
Reply:If you can't afford to have a Doctor do it, than WAIT! That keloid isn't going to go away or kill you...be patient! KJL
