How will i get rid of a keloid?help..?
Keloids are often treated by injecting a steroid medication directly into the scar tissue to reduce redness, itching, and burning. In some cases, this will also shrink the scar.

If steroid treatment is inadequate, the scar tissue can be cut out and the wound closed with one or more layers of stitches. This is generally an outpatient procedure, performed under local anesthesia. You should be back at work in a day or two, and the stitches will be removed in a few days. A skin graft (see the section on skin grafting) is occasionally used, although the site from which the graft was taken may then develop a keloid scar.

No matter what approach is taken, keloids have a stubborn tendency to recur, sometimes even larger than before. To discourage this, the surgeon may combine the scar removal with steroid injections, direct application of steroids during surgery, or radiation therapy. Or you may be asked to wear a pressure garment over the area for as long as a year. Even so, the keloid scar may return, requiring repeated procedures every few years.

BIOSKINCARE™ for Scars, Keloids %26amp; Burns
Reply:Go to a dermatologist. The doctor will inject the scar tissue with a steroid once or twice and reduce the size.
Reply:Biological keloid scar treatment %26amp; scarring prevention

BIOSKINCARE is a unique skin regenerating substance proven effective for the treatment of all types of scars. It stops itching, softens and helps to remove keloid scars and reduce pitted or ice pick scars. It also prevents scarring and acts as a natural remedy for acne.

BIOSKINCARE is not a man made drug, pharmaceutical or medicine. It is gathered from the secretions left on his paths by the Chilean snail Helix Aspersa Müller. The very same he uses to quickly regenerate his own shell and skin when damaged. After years of proven effects, scientific validation and the invention of a patented process to make it into a topical cream, now presented as a natural remedy for acne and scars.

The effectivenes of BIOSKINCARE is due to deep penetrating into the middle layer of the skin (the dermis), of it's biological ingredients. They are powerful biologically active protein enzymes, copper peptides, proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans that act as biological activators of both the elimination of dead and damaged skin cells and the renewal of healthy cells.

Keloids, raised scarring and pitted or ice pick scars.

BIOSKINCARE keeps the hair follicles open, and carries into them the skin repair ingredients of the snail's secretions. Once inside the follicle the bio-available skin renewal activators and the cooper peptides will trigger the formation of new elastic cells, collagen and pigment, filling in scar cavities. They will also shrink (digest) and replace the old fibrous collagen formed to repair damaged tissues and keloid scar tissues. The first noticeable effect is a softening of the skin. The ultimate healing is when new 'invisible' hair, known as lanugo, comes thru the restored hair follicles in those areas
Reply:Try rubbing vitamin K cream on it everyday. Even if you keep it moisturized with regular lotion you will see it slowly flatten.

Vitamin E gel caplets can also be cut open and rubbed on the scar.

You could also get a cortisone injection from your dermatologist. This is only a temporary solution if the scar is a true keloid, since those never go away.

Since it is a new scar, you can use 'silicone scar sheets', which are sheets of ionized plastic that they use when people have major surgery. It's expensive, but you would only need a small piece.
