How do you get rid of a keloid!?

okay so i have a keloid from my mmonroe piercing, and i cant get rid of it


ive had the piercing for 4 weeks or so now, and the keloid has eben there for 2 - 3 weeks, ive been cleanin it with sea salt and warm water, but how can i get rid of that annoying lil bump?! help pleassee

Your first step should be to see a dermatologist to be sure it is a keloid...if you haven't already been officially diagnosed.





A keloid can't be totally removed but the appearance of it can be improved dramatically in most cases. There is nothing you can do yourself but there are options available to treat keloids. Treatments include:


cortisone injections


laser treatment


cryosurgery


surgery followed with radiation





Most of the time, doctors will not do "regular" surgery just to remove the keloid; special specific surgery is required. The reason why is that the chances are good the keloid would just return.
