Can I repierce lip with keloid?

I pierced my lip and it was find for a month or so but then it formed a keloid. I didnt know what it was, and I freaked so I took it out 2 days ago..... can i repierce it in the same spot since it is closed now?

and to those who are going to write saying piercings are dumb, thanks but I dont need your judgement.

Can I repierce lip with keloid?
Don't do it. Clear up the keloid first and then get it repierced. Repiercing it will just irritate it and cause it to form a larger more painful bump. Plus, piercing thru fresh/large amounts of scar tissue is painful.

Use hot compresses and a bit of tea tree oil or sea salts to shrink it up and break down the tissue a bit. Then get it repierced.
Reply:A keloid is an overgrowth of scar tissue. If you re-pierce, you will have the same problem.

Look up keloids on the Internet

for more information about your susceptibility to having keloids.

A keloid is a scar that doesn't know when to stop.
Reply:You can but it's going to hurt like hell when they go through the scar tissue. You also chance the keloid growing bigger with another piercing.
Reply:I won't say dumb, I'll just say it holds you back from a lot of things, and marks you. Maybe your body is trying to tell you something.
Reply:No, that's gross. You need to get your keloid fixed. I used to have bad keloids on my scalp, but my doctor gave me a steroid solution that helped clear it.
